After going to the bank, a lite dinner at Zoey’s Kitchen and
then looking at some of the gadgets at the Apple store, it’s time for a
beer. Thankfully I can walk to these
locations since they are in the same shopping center! Brew Republic Bierwerks
makes shopping more fun, well at least for my wife! Brew Republic gives me an excuse to just let
my wife do her thing, and me mine…drinking good beer! Located in the Stonebridge at Potomac Center,
(click here for location) and open 7-days a week, Brew Republic is a brewpub
that opened in September 2016 and is surrounded by lots of shopping and
restaurants, with a new ice rink and an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema opening in
2018.
Just a simple blog where I can post my thoughts, good or bad on the things in my life, my experiences out in the world and whatever else I want to freaking write about.

Woodbridge / Lake Ridge Beer - Heroic Aleworks
On the Eastern edge of Prince William County where the Occoquan Bay and the Potomac River meet; nestled across the street from a Krispy Kreme distribution center and ‘Dogtopia’ is the sanctum for some unlikely superheroes. Superheros that have the power to please a discernable pallet and inebriate / confound the brain at the same time. A place where some people, including myself, known as ‘nerds’ or ‘geeks’ can find a nice place to get away, relax with a nice beverage and geekspeak.
The Woodbridge / Lake Ridge VA Beer Scene
More and more I am seeing local breweries opening in my area and around the state. Grocery stores have increased their inventory of micro brews to include regional beers and other beers that were once just local but have grown their distribution to other states. They are competing more and more with the local dive bars that many of us grew up hanging out where they are slinging out Budweiser or PBR for $3-$4 a pitcher while these local brewery upstarts serve single pours of beer that can be $8 for a 14oz pour. So… what’s the deal?? Is it worth it?
What is this blog about and should you give a $@!#&%....
So… what is this blog all about. Well, I am not really sure….. it is just a place where I can share my hiking adventures or share my thoughts while on that hike, tell a story, share my experience while at a business or restaurant or give an opinion on a variety of things. For the most part, it is going to be a lot of my opinion and a great man once said:
"Opinion is the medium between knowledge and ignorance."-- Plato
